Materials:
- Watercolor Paper- I used Stonehenge Aqua Watercolor Block. This is a high quality watercolor paper at a reasonable price, and I love that it comes as a block.
- Watercolor Paint- I used Ecoline Liquid Watercolors (Color 311 in this video). These watercolors are so vibrant!
- Paint Brush- This is my favorite watercolor paint brush.
- Scissors/Paper Cutter- I used one like this, but scissors you have laying around will work too!
- Scallop Tag Punch- This is that little detail that makes your tags look extra cute!
- Pen- Pretty much any pen will do the trick, but I used this one!
- Ribbon/String- I opted for a glittery gold!
Directions:
1. Wet your paper with some water. I recommend getting as close to the edge as you can, so you have as much surface area to work with as you want.
2. Drop in your color! If you're using a paint brush for this step, just load your brush with paint, and dab the paint on the wet paper. I used red here, but get creative with colors! (This is the perfect step for the kiddos!)

3. LET IT DRY! Go do something fun for a while until the paint is completely dry.
4. Cut strips of paper, then cut to make them rectangles. The width and length of your tags is up to you! I did a few varying sizes here.

5. Using your Tag Punch, center and line up your paper rectangles and punch out the scallop tags. It really all starts to come together with this step!

6. Personalize it! Write our who is getting your gift. You can write out who it's from too, but they will probably already know! :)
7. Add a fun ribbon! Attach the ribbon to the gift or simply add some tape to the back of the tag, and tape it on the gift.
I hope you enjoy this Christmas Gift Tag DIY! Not only is it a fun craft for you, but its also a personalized gift tag for your family and friends! They're sure to ohhh and ahhh over their super unique gift tags...and I'm sure the gift inside is good too!
